Nutrients the body needs

Food consumed by humans contain various elements. There are elements that are useful and some are not brought benefits to human health. Various substances can be enzymes, nutrition, and toksit (poison).

An element of nutrients contained in foods that provide benefits to human health. Each consumed food has different nutrients. Nutrients contained in these foods vary from one food to another. The difference may be the type of nutrients contained in foods, as well as the amount of each nutrient.

One Janis certain nutrients may terkadung / are the type of food, but it could be possible nutrients are not present in other foodstuffs.

For one type of certain nutrients, may be more contained to one type of food, but there could be no food at all on others. Also certain amount of nutrients found in significant amounts in one type of food, but could be found only in very small amounts in other foods. Therefore the body does not lack one of the nutrients, then the man should not depend on just one type of food, but must consume food that beragamjenisnya.

Nutrients are classified based on several things, namely

based on function, based on the amount the body needs

and based on its source:

1. Based on the function

Each nutrient has specific functions. Each of these nutrients can not stand alone in building and running the body metabolic processes. However, these nutrients have different functions.

a. Nutrients as a source of energy

As an energy source of nutrients beneficial to move the body and metabolic processes in the body.

Nutrient substances belonging to the function gives the energy is carbohydrates, fats and proteins. Food that serves as a source of energy such as: rice, corn, taro is a source of carbohydrate; margarine and butter is a source of fat; fish, meat, eggs and so is a source of protein.

These three nutrients provide energy for body donation. Nutrients that are producing energy that can be used for movement and physical activity and metabolic activity in the body. But the biggest contributor to the energy of the three elements of the nutrients are fat.

b. Nutrients for growth and maintain body tissue

These nutrients have sebgai functions forming cells in human tissue. If the deficiency is to consume the nutrients and the growth of human development will be retarded. Besides these nutrients also serve to replace cells damaged and maintain organ function.

Nutrients included in this group are proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins. However, nutrients that have a dominant source in the growth process is a protein.

c. Nutrients as regulators / regulatory processes in the body

Metabolic processes in the body needs to happen balance settings. For that amount of nutrients needed to manage ongoing metabolism in the body.

The body needs to balance, to the metabolic processes that occur in the body needs to be set properly.

Nutrients that function to regulate metabolic processes in the body are minerals, vitamins, water and protein. But who has the primary function of regulating substances is sebagia minerals and vitamins.

2. Based on the number of

Based on the amount needed by the body of nutrients divided into two, namely:

a. Macro nutrients

Macro nutrients are nutrients needed in large quantities with units gram. Nutrients, including the macro nutrients are carbohydrates, fats and proteins.

b. Micro nutrients

Micro nutrients are nutrients the body needs in small amounts or small but the food there. Nutrients including micro nutrients group are minerals and vitamins. Micro nutrients using the unit mg for most minerals and vitamins.

3. Based Sources

Based on the source of nutrients is divided into two, namely vegetable and animal
